The Heroic Chronicle of Our Glorious History

On January 19, 2026, an exhibition titled “The Heroic Chronicle of Our Glorious History” dedicated to the national day of mourning on January 20 was held in the B. Kangarli exhibition hall of the Union of Artists of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic within the framework of the “Year of Urban Planning and Architecture”.
The exhibition features 30 paintings by 14 artists in accordance with the theme.
Before the exhibition, a minute of silence was observed in memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and our heroes who died in the battles for the integrity of the land. Then the national anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played.
Ulviyya Hamzayeva, Chairperson of the Union of Artists of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Member of the Milli Majlis, provided information about the exhibition and works.
The exhibition was attended by the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Bakhtiyar Mammadov, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Arzu Abdullayev,
Head of the Nakhchivan City Executive Power of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Jabbar Musayev, Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Nakhchivan Asip Kaya, Rector of Nakhchivan State University Elbrus Isayev, Chairman of the Nakhchivan City Organization of the New Azerbaijan Party Elman Jafarov, and deputies of the Supreme Assembly.
Members of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Artists' Union, students of Nakhchivan State University, Nakhchivan Teachers' Institute, and cadets of the Heydar Aliyev Military Lyceum were invited to view the exhibition.
