On February 26, 2026, an exhibition titled “Khojaly Tragedy” dedicated to the 34th anniversary of the Khojaly Tragedy was held at the B. Kangarli Exhibition Hall of the Union of Artists of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The exhibition was opened by the employee of the Union of Artists, art critic Nizami Aliyev, who spoke about the history and importance of the Khojaly tragedy today.
Then, Honored Artist Hamza Sadigov, Gahraman Tagiyev, Tapdig Hamzayev, teacher of the Nakhchivan Military College, reserve colonel
Inayat Mukhtarov, sister of National Hero Yusif Mirzayev Naiba khanum, a lyceum cadet, spoke about the importance of the exhibition.
A portrait of National Hero Yusif Mirzayev, painted by Ulviyya Mammadova, a new member of the Union of Artists of Nakhchivan, was presented to the martyr’s family.
The exhibition featured 28 works by 16 artists in line with the theme.
